¿Qué deben hacer los operadores de telecomunicaciones y de redes de datos para encarar la cantidad de insertidumbres en el manejo de los servicios de nueva generación?

Network Management of Next Generation Wireless Networks

Prof. Mehmet Ulema; Manhattan College, Professor of Computer Information Systems

Site: Compensar Calle 94 x Autonorte, Bogotá

Time: 5:55 PM + 90 min.

Fees: COL$30.000 (Free for IEEE members)

Abstract:

  • Incumbent and new wireless network operators face a colossal amount of uncertainty with next generation services, including which path to take and what to do once they get there.
  • In offering new services, operators will need to employ more powerful and efficient but more user-friendly ways of managing the underlying networks.
  • In this talk, we will first provide an overview of wireless networks, then an overview of network management, and finally we’ll talk about the management of wireless networks in particular.
  • In addition to cellular and WLANs, we will see a number of fundamentally different wireless network architectures and services.
  • Ad hoc networks and wireless sensor networks are two examples of this paradigm shift in wireless network architecture.
